About T8 SEP LED Tubes
Revolution Lighting’s Type-B T8 SEP LED Tubes come in 2-ft, 3-ft, and 4-ft lengths. These tubes are ballast-bypass SEP LED tubes, which means that they are directly wired to the line voltage with power flowing through a single end (SEP). Because these LED tubes entirely eliminate the need for the ballast, there is no additional power drawn (and wasted) through ballast usage.
Specs
T8 SEP LED Tubes come in the following configurations:
- 8W(2-ft), 12W(3-ft), 10.5W(4-ft), 12W(4-ft), 15W(4-ft)
- Each available size and wattage comes in 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K
- All are T8s and have G13 bi-pins
Energy and Maintenance Savings
Revolution Lighting’s T8 SEP LED Tubes can decrease energy usage by as much as 50% compared to similar fluorescent tubes. With their 70,000-hour lamp life, these LED tubes last three times longer than fluorescent tubes, so they won’t need to be replaced as often.
Illumination Angle
Revolution Lighting coined the term “illumination angle” to describe how the light from our tube lamps spreads out. Because of their long, tubular shape, tube lamps do not have symmetrical light distribution. By identifying the illumination angle of an LED tube lamp, we get a better sense of how the light spreads out sideways from the tube and how much of the light is blocked by the LED board inside the tube. Revolution Lighting’s T8 SEP LED Tubes have a 312-degree illumination angle. The narrow angle that is not illuminated is blocked by the LEDs.
Applications
Revolution Lighting’s T8 SEP LED Tubes are ideal for offices and commercial buildings, retail settings, hotels, schools, hospitals, assisted living facilities and other applications. Revolution Lighting recommends using 4000K for office, school and retail use because this color temperature mimics natural sunlight.
